auto to manual swap, do i need another ecu?

Hey i have a tII converted 89 acclaim thats automatic and im doing a 5 speed trans swap, will i need a ecu from a 5 speed or is it the same ? i will probobly just upgrade with a stage II or 3 from fwd performance but i want to know for sure before i get the wrong computer...
