Believe it or not, neither would be required on the TD as the factory ignition has proven up to the task at 30# boost and 7k rpms.

I run a MSD-6 on my '84 Charger, just because I had it laying around. It doesn't perform any better nor get any better mileage with the MSD than it did with just the factory system. If you're looking for better mileage check out:
