does any of our vendors sell this product?
how hard is it to install?
how hard is it to get the vehicle fired?
how hard is it to tune?

it all depends how savvy you are whether you think it will be difficult. each car is different too, some fire right up others are a headache. i went MSII v3.0 on my 24v 3.0 and am still working on it. a WBo2 is HIGHLY reccomended though and the innovate LC-1 is probably one of the best cost effective one.

which car are you going to put it on? motor? turbo? non-turbo? going to use the stock dizzy etc or mod it to use EDIS? future plans?

the motor is a 2.2 in a 92 daytona

lone wolf 782-r head
lone wolf sheet metal intake
lone wolf header
brian slowe built the bottom end
gt35r turbo
turbo smart external wastegate
turbo smart boost controller
s-2 cam
spearco front mount

the problem is i need bigger injector's (84lb - 93lb) and there is no way a calibration is going to idle with that injector

i want to get rid of the distributor and definetly will run a wideband.
are there any other stand alones out there that anyone would recommend?

what boost are you going to be running that you need tha big of injectors?

the MS is probably your best option, although idling will be hard with large injectors regardless. EDIS will take care of the dizzy, and the MS-II has 12x12 tables for spark, fuel etc. although the MS-i with MSnS extra has boost knock retard, and CURRENTLY MS-II does not (should me in teh MS-II extra coming soon) with a little wiring injenuity, this should do you fine.

pump gas boost will be set 15-19 depending on air / fuel
race gas i would like to hit around 26-30 psi

i just have a feeling a "calibration" is going to give me problems

for this much, best to stage in second injectors for over 50% power. Could do this with microsquirt for 2nd stage and let the megasquirt do the spark for rest & injection for under 50% power and ease of idle control?

Cheers, Wizard

ms2 has plenty of resolution to run large injectors in a single stage, down to 1 us. even a smec has 4 us resolution on the injector timer, so it should work ok as well. i will be trying large (1000cc) injectors on a smec sometime soon.

You definately want to use one of the higher resolution MS units like MS2 or MS1 with high res code. EDIS is nice but you cant do spark retard rev limiting with it. MS is fully capable firing a coil pack with nothing more than a crank position sensor and wheel. You can get a EDIS crank ring off an Escort and use the Ford VR sensor. Just find a creative way of mounting a crank sensor on your motor. This info is a little out dated but stil good to read:

http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/ex...atyouneed.html

The EDIS module is optional. The module is nice if you don't want to worry about adding an extra coil driver to MS but, like I said, you can't do spark retard rev limiting with an EDIS module but you can with MS's built in coil drivers.

You should read at www.MSextra.com
