I just "Googled" E3 plugs and no real info other than Manufactuer Hype.
In a Distributor driven ignition system the spark plug is only a "Ground".
The better the ground and the more precise grounding points the more efficient ignition will be.
I have been using Autolite Double Platinum for years and my son swears by Bosch + 4's.
If you have been using Splitfire without any problems I would not change until you can see some real Dyno results.
What I am seeing is these plugs are $8.99 a piece,Kind of high to experiment with.

the worst thing you can do is block the flame front with more electrodes. Those bosch +4's are really bad. OMG I just saw a pic of the E3 plug. No No no! Those and the Bosch +2's +3 +4 BS plugs will kill power and raise emmisions by blocking the flame front. If you want good plugs get a set of Autolite AR51's. They're the same heat range as a Champ RN6YC (COLD) but will run fine on a stock motor. They have a cut back electrode. This helps the flame front propagate and you'll get better emmisions and a smoother running car. Plus they aren't that expensive.

E3's website animation shows what could be considered 'amazing' propagation, but dyno tests and real world use would prove or disprove their claims.
Funny thing about the splitfires. There used to be a rail crossing at 67th ave and Nothern (for those who know the area). Where it crossed the road was an slight incline up to the tracks. Had a new cap, rotor, and champion stock plugs (car still had auto tranny).with foot off brake, would idle few inches up incline and stop (about 900-1000rpm), put in splitfires about week later (they were the latest 'trick' plug then), did the same thing--car would idle up and over the tracks!(i did this around the late 90's)
I may get a set of these to play with and see how they appear to perform and give some feedback---can't do traintrack idle test anymore, put in a 5 speed about 5 years ago....

i may be just a dumb guy who knows a little bit about electricity but here is the thing, electricity takes the SHORTEST and/or the EASIEST route to ground..... so even if you have 100 tips on the end of your spark plug your not going to gain anything b/c the electrode will and can ONLY fire to ONE grounding tip at ANY given time. you would have to have every groundtip exactly the same (.00000000") distance from the electrode and on top of that all the tips would have to be the exact (.00000000") distance from the gounding point onthe enigine. which we all know is not happening.
i myself have other things that i could spend that extra $x.99 on comparied to buying a champ plug

Grassroots Motorsports magazine did a dyno test a few years back to show poeple what legal mods they could do to there stock class autocross car to gain hp. Spark plugs gained no hp on any cars. They gained more hp by chainging the oil to synthetic. So do go for the hype, champions will do just fine in our cars.
