I am wondering if I can put a Stage 2 ECU from a 87 GLHS Charger into my 85 Charger. If someone would be kind enough to send me some information on if this is possible and if all I would need to do is change the ECU out or not.

Thanks.

I think your going to have to use the 86 GLHS omni ecu for it. I dont think the 87 has the map in the LM. I have one in my omni but i had to do the blow thru conversion.

The 85 has a different distributor than 86 and up. The glhs computers are also set up for a 4 wire ais and the 85 charger is set up for a 2 wire.

My 85 GLH had the correct distributor in it already stock. I went to change it when i did the blow thru conversion but it was already there. Might have been a partial production thing, just gonna have to check yours out. I found out when i 1st got it, bought a cap and rotor for the 85 and it didnt fit, 86 worked like a charm. If your just looking for more boost you could allways do a grainger valve and a bleed on the map. But then again if you did get that stage 2 ECU in there you can to a safe computer controlled 14-15 psi.
