I was talking to the guy I got my car off of. and he told me that he installed a mopar performance ecu in it. and the stock one was in the trunk under the spare tire. ( didn't look there. )
but to the point- I searched around and didn't find out much info on the ecu's can some one tell me a bit about them? what upgrades to they have in them to make them better.

the car is a 1987 dodge shadow turbo. 2.2lt.

If you look around this site you'll find information on logic modules, smec's, etc. You can buy high perf versions from our vendors like Turbos Unleashed and FWD Performance. There are also ways to modify the units yourself but that gets rather involved. Bill

raises the boost from 7-9psi to 9-11psi and ups the fuel and spark curves. It's a decent puter for a light non-intercooled 5spd car. But once you go intercooled you'll never go back and the computer becomes worthless

you can if you're creative, but the T2 computer matched with the intake and turbo will still make more power. They're small things but they still add up. By having the Throttle body before the turbo you make the turbo work harder to create the same boost which means hotter air/psi. Which means the i/c can't get the intake temp as low and the log intake doesn't flow for crap and has no plenum. All those little things add up.
