My buddy had a pretty nice 89 Shelby Daytona with Foward Motion Inc Enforcer II 2.2 with a stage 2 head, stock turbo (for now) stock injectors, 255 fuel pump, adjustable pressure regulator, Full 3 inch exahaust w/dp, very large aftermarket intercooler, and the stock computer untouched.
Now, I know a little about cars, but I usually work on modern SBC's, and SC'd 3800's.
The car is in limpin mode all the time. We check the plugs and plug wires many times, and to the best of our knowledge it is hooked up right. His father was a Chrysler mechanic back in the 80's and 90's and rebuilds chrysler trannies for a living, he said it is hooked up correctly.
Now, here is my concern.
A: is the computer fried?
or
B: Being that he has a different head and cam, doesn't the computer need to be adjusted for this?
If you have any other ideas as to what it could be, let me know. I want him to get this beast on the road so I have some competition.
