Ok so I understand the chargers have 2 fuel pumps 1 in tank and 1 inline when I replace the pump to a hiflo unit do I just replace the inline pump or the intank or both? I would like to be able to just replace the inline pump as it would the quick and easy but I also want it done right.

Take both off and replace the intank pump. I did this on my charger but the pump i put in it was bad. So took the intank pump out and put an inline pump on the car. So actually you could do either.

I think on the dual pump setup, (up to 86), the in tank was only 5 psi , the inline 50-55. In 87 they just went in tank. Just run a 255 intank, then your done...
