There is a black plastic piece of electronics with (2) plug connectors between the distributor cap and the distributor body. It's called a "Hall Effect Processor" (or, HEP) This part is responsible for telling the computer that the distributor is turning. The computer then allows spark and fuel to flow.

Good chance this part is burned out. If you can get a known good one (must be from a turbo car **(2) connectors ... '86 or newer) and swap it in you may be golden. Then order a new Mopar replacement.

Kind of jumping the gun on the HEP. First, when you turn the key on, you should hear the fuel pump prime for a second. If you can't hear it, put a test light on the pos. side of the coil and the neg side of the battery. when you turn the key on, the test light should light up for a second. If you hear the pump prime, or you see the test light illuminate for a second, then you can look at the HEP.

If you do NOT see the test light light up, or you do NOT hear the fuel pump prime, then it is probably the ASD relay.
