I just got the car, and need to get it smoothed out a bit. The car has the FWD Stage 1 ECU, and I will be adding the 803 injectors very soon. It currently has a bit of detonation at WOT at high RPM, so I'm thinking one step colder on the plugs may help.

And is the stock Champion on the car the RN9YC ?

Advice ?

I thought I heard the 803s flow the same as stock injectors, I would think so since fwd says you can use either and any change in injector flow requires a different fuel curve.

I would add an intercooler if I were you, even the small stock TD ones make a big difference. I would assume you are running premium gas correct?

Yes, I am running 93 or 94 when I can find it, but I just filled the car up for the first time since i got it.

I do plan to do a few things to it, but I just want to get it running correctly in stock form first.

I have no idea if the 803s are the same. I know it does say that it works with either, but I haven't researched the comparison between the two to know yet.

stock is 27lb's and 803's are 30 lbs. It's the 804's that flow the same as T2 injectors which is 34lbs. But either put it on a dyno or get a wideband O2 for it to see just how much fuel you're running. My buddies suckthrough T1 with some exhaust mods and a slight increase in boost pegged the wideband on the dyno at over 10:1. Probably lost about 20hp that rich. If you're getting detonation the spark curve is too aggressive. You'll make more power with less spark to prevent detonation and the correct a/f ratio than you will with trying to kill any knock with extra fuel.
