ok guys working on a 87 dodge lancer 2.2 lancer converted over to the T2 status.. one piece intake, fuel rail, computer, wiring harness and everything else... got it to start run everything.... but the freak'n thing idles at over 2500 rpm, went through all the vacuum lines, replaced them all still idles really high. even started it and unhooked the idle air controller, did nothing, unhooked the tps and still did nothing...?! what gives!?! left it running, took a can of carb cleaner and sprayed it all over the freakn motor!! around all the vacumm lines, around the base head, intake mani, brake booster didnt even move the rpm's!! im at a loss here have any of you guys had this problem? please help been working on this thing for to long...thanks

It must be something with the computer is my guess what distributor are you using? the 86+ is shorter and fatter than 84-85 I know i put an 86 dist with 86 comp on my 85 and it freaked out did that high idle crap and had no power

i guess i dont understand if its an 87 lancer with the same 87 distributorthat was on it before w/ 87 computer, and an 87 t2 wiring harnes everything should work the same right? ......hmmm thought is the 87 t1 distributor different then 87 t2 distributer?

also what about the t1 pm logic module? it probably wont read the same as the t2 huh? (probably stupid question i know) i just didnt think about that? any thoughts?

If you take the TB hose off and put you hand over the throttle opening on the TB will the engine continue to run or will it die? If it does then you don't have a vacuum leak and it has something to do with the IAC or throttle stop. Is your PCV valve hooked up?

ya we've got it hooked to the vacuum port thats closet to the valve cover..
