Anyone do anything creative with TD LM's? Could I use it to control a robot or something?

Honestly, there aren't any high current drivers on a LM, the MCU's on the LM's are so outdated that they really aren't worth playing with, and there aren't any schematics/memory maps for them that I know of. I guess if you wanted to you could modify the code and make a datalogger out of one or control some relays, but as for any kind of control you're better off going with a new(er) Freescale or Microchip MCU and making up a new board and such.

You can always use it for parts if you feel like desoldering stuff, there should be a 5 volt regulator, all kinds of diodes/transistors/resistors most of the IC's aren't marked with real part numbers, so they're pretty much useless...

WAit WAIT

Make a little blinky thing from it, glue it to a sweatshirt, and get shot dead at Boston airport@Q@@@@

An MIT female student got hauled in for one yesterday. Apparently the security there never heard of Geeks? I hate to think what would happen if someone was seen wearing a computer vest from a few years ago with components attached everywhere.

Or maybe they didn't like the dirty Geek language on the back. "Socket to ME"

Instead of throwing away SAVE it and some day someone will try to restore a TBI car and need one to run!! Sell it and make some money?? It will happen I remember with the 55 to 57 Chebbys and how people started fixing up the 4 door cars just to have one and those prices climbed and those laughing still paid also!!!
It Could happen!!
