I've read contrary articles regarding the torque output of the 91 shadows 2.5t as to callibration of fuel mix and advance. The difference supposedly is between the standard or auto trans.

Sorry, didn't actually ask a question. Can anyone say for sure if the 210 came in the standard or auto?

Info from 1990 Chrysler Service Manual
2.2L T4 210 Lbs.-Ft. @ 2400 RPM
(The window sticker says 210 @ 3200 RPM)
2.5L T1 180 Lbs.-Ft. @ 2000 RPM

Window sticker for my 92 auto T-1 says 210 lbft. at 2400 rpm. It all depends on how much boost is running and whether or not its limited at certain rpms.

Just going back through the pioneers works I see that the calibrations were 2.5 and specific to the trans.

The 2.5 t1 in 92 got a High torque cal with the 568 tranny, so 210+ sounds right for a stick equipted car.

The ONLY difference was the boost schedule. The autos limited boost below ~3k rpm to ~7psi or so. If you put a hi-torq computer into an auto car, you get 210ft-lbs. Hell, if you put a grainger on a AT computer you'd get the same 210ft-lbs. The hi-torq cal is really nothing special at all...

THAT, I believe, actually answers my question. I was trying to determine if 91 was the first year that this came stock with a t-1, and if it was auto or stick.

91' was the first year to have high torque on 2.5 T1 and it is only available on manual trans from factory, no auto at all.
