I have a 94' Dodge Shadow with a 2.5/5-spd and I am going to do an NA build with another 2.5. I plan on running an MPI set up so I need some sort of fuel management system but I don't really know a lot about those sorts of things. If any bodies got any suggests to help me out that would be great. I need to get something that will be fairly simple and manage my fuel so I can get it to run half way decent. Thanks

Peace,

You could run it decently on your stock electronics as long as you get like a wideband O2 sensor or EGT gauge with AFPR to inject the right amount of fuel. That's really all you need. And if you increase airflow later down the line, you just compensate by increasing fuel pressure. The ONLY thing is that the ECUs won't "see" is the increased airflow of the mpi and any possible head porting or exhaust upgrades. Not sure just how much of an impact this has. I'm not sure just how smooth this would idle, I know my MPI car ran super smooth with the fuel pressure down at 35psi, but I had no way to know my A/F ratio and see if I was lean or not, so I put it up to 45psi and it runs ok. I'm going to get an EGT gauge later down the line and hopefully solve this problem once and for all.

But if you want the sequential injection, you'd need either a turbo electronics swap, which wouldn't be ideal, a mexican/ffv mpi swap, which is very hard to find, or a standalong engine management system, which costs a bit and I believe you'd need to tune it on a dyno to get it ideal. I don't have any knowledge on megasquirt or other systems, so I can't tell you.

Yeah, it is a pain in the ass, but semi worth it. Turbo is definately the way to go. Good luck, hope this helps.

I know I really want to do the turbo thing but its a 94 and I would need a 92 comp so I don't have any real trouble. I have been through a lot of the salvage yards around here and there are no 92' Turbos around unfortunatly. So an NA build is going to be the way to go. I did read over your MPI conversion thread I need to go over it again but I will probably just do what you did and batch fire.

Not to sound stupid but what is EGT stand for I haven't really seen that abbriviation before. I will go back over and look at all of the stuff that you did because I haven't really done much work with electical but my friend is very good at it. If you have anymore pointers msg me ang I will be very grateful.

Thanks

Peace

Easy way to put the wiring is, you have 2 wires going to your TBI injector, connect those two wires to each of the 4 MPI injectors in parallel. And the TPS and AIS, all you do is cut the plug and extend the wires to reach the throttle body. If you need any more details, tiny techniques or tips for doing this, PM me.

You can go turbo if you megasquirt it. I have a 93 Daytona that I want to turbo, but I got lucky with a 92 TI harness and ECU on this forum lol
