How do you tell T1 Injectors from T2 Injectors?

How do you tell T1 Injectors from T2 Injectors?
The 86 I have has a supposed 87 T2 swapped into it but has a T1 style Intake.
The injectors in the 86 are black topped but the injectors in the 88 are white topped. In 87 the T2 ran stock injectors did it not? and in 88 they went to the 33# injectors?
I am not quite clear on this yet.
