What experiences are out there for an optimum timing deg BTDC set for an 89 2.5L 782 head Lebaron. Running 20 psi with new stage 2 turbo @ 16 deg BTDC. My Super 60 ECU was default 14 deg, but I reset to 16 deg. I use 95 octane with no detonation and FM slider 475 cam. The engine runs smoother and quieter at 16 deg, but hard to keep my engine temp and EGTs down. 14 deg was much cooler, and feels like more torque on the butt dyno. Just interested in what settings for modified TDs seem to work best through the complete power range.

I don't have any 8 valve turbo cars just 16 valve so I don't have to deal with timing but from the threads I have seen here most are running the factory 12 deg btdc. Just reading your post it sounds like you know what you need to do. Back up the timing a few degrees
