Hey guys,

I have had this issue for a while, however, I usually do not move my base timing. So the problem is that I am unable to time my car with the 3bar cal I have on it. I am not sure what I could change on my cal to make it stop shutting off when trying to time it. The only way I can time it is to lower the fuel pressure to around 32Psi @ the fuel rail.

So, if someone can help me out then please do so. :]

Thank you.

It is one of those calibrations that Shelgames has posted on D-cal. I am not sure as too what I could change. I did Pm him but so far no reply.

Your cal doesn't work with the 3bar?

Hey DEZ,

Some 3bars have the pins moved around. It may be that you need to move your pins at the sensor. Turn the ignition on and test the signal and see if you get something. Are you getting any codes?

here is some info so you can prove the wires and see what's what:

GM part 16040749 (discontinued) 3 Bar map 3bar measured voltage with cheap digital voltmeter and used the compressor regulator to set pressure . Btw, pin a is ground b is signal and c is 5v. I do believe on the newer sensors PINS A and B are switched.

My problem is not the map sensor, it is the calibration I have. When timing the car and I unhook the temp sensor it just shuts off. This problem is that this only happens with the 3bar cal. When I swap over the 2bar stuff I works fine, So I am just not sure what tables in the 3bar cal I can change for it to work properly. Like I said, I messaged Shelgame but he must be busy.

try revvin the car up some when u unplug the CTS. then let off the throttle, hopefully it wont stall out. my guess is that the revs will be unconsistent reving up and down, could be possible vaccum leak?

have u tried adjusting the base idle using the TB screw?? that might keep it from stalling as well

No, revving doesn't help as it still stall out. Shelgame just Pm'ed me and said I might have the +45% injectors and not the 40's. So, I guess I have to rescale itfor that.
