hi my name is Anthony Marcotte and i just got a 1989 dodge caravan 2.5L turbo with a 3 speed auto. by the way my dad has a small engine shop so im not completely incompetent when it comes to the basics. this is the first time i have worked on a automotive motor so bare with me. when i got it i was told that it had a cracked head. so i replaced it and guess what the nuwb did. i got rid of all the vacuum lines trying to clean up the look of the engine bay. but when i replaced the head i found some more problems. i think the bypass valve is a bit stiff and the compressor bypass valve is toast. now i wont to keep it simple, as cheep as possible and i need it ASAP. its going to be a highway runner for the family busyness so it has to be reliable and cheep on gas. oh and Im in the Canadian shelled so i need enough power to get up the hills ah. ;P pics are on the way just as soon as i get a camera. i can not make heads or tails of the vacuum line diagrams on the web. if some one out there has a bunch of pics of there set up. i greatly thank you to e-mail me them @ twony_maker@hotmail.com. again thank you for any help you can give me.

To keep it simple I would buy a vacuum block with at least four ports and then you can run silicone lines to the MAP, FPR, Wastegate, BOV(if you have one), and boost gauge. As for the wastegate actuator it should be fairly stiff, as long as you aren't going into overboost (trust me you'll know, it'll cut fuel/ignition to the engine) I would say it is working correctly

The biggest problem is that all the vacuum diagrams are drawn like the one under your hood, not easy to follow and the vacuum systems on these cars are a mess and it is very difficult to explain where each line runs,it does take time and patience even when you have done it numerous times.
I will try to give you generic pics(not from a mini van) but should help you get started knowing where each device is located.

ok i know i have been lazy and selfish. i would like your approval to open another post. i would like to start over from the beginning. no stores, no lying, and no more being lazy. i would like to hear from someone soon. I'm freezing my fingers off trying to fix the van.
