has anyone tried to re-wire their sbec car for a smec set up ? my thoughts are it would be fairly easy (already have a stage 3 smec) but was wondering if anyone has done it.

I went the other way with my '88 Omni. Had a SMEC in there, wanted to see if it would idle better with a SBEC. Whole bunch of pin re-arranging and a new injector harness, and I pulled it off. It did idle smoother.
Going the other way would be about the same deal. Re-arrange the pins, splice some of them to the extra connector. Make a few jumper wires because some run straight from the little connector to the big connector that don't exist at all when you only have the one connector. Took me maybe an hour to do my Omni.. And I ended up with one hell of a tangled rats nest when I was done..

I didn't notice anything besides the idle. Maybe a slight gas mileage increase.
