Question Which wires are for the power locks?

Previous owner of my Daytona had an alarm system in the car. It was taken out before he sold it to me. The power locks were hooked up to the alarm and they were disconnected when it was removed so they are just manual locks right now.

Which wires do I need to hook back up so the power locks work again? The mess of wires under the dash is crazy

If the locks aren't factory (which it sounds like) and the actuators are still in the doors then there should be some aftermarket wires coming out of each door boot in behind the kick panel. If you are lucky the relays will still be conected most likely under the dash. If not the locks must be hooked up with two relays in a five wire reverse polarity configuration. Let me know what you find and if you need help with the realy wiring.

The locks are factory. The guy said the factory wires were still there. I just don't know which wires are for the locks and where to hook em

There are no relays from the alarm though.

You will have to find where the previous owner hooked into the locks. There will be two different colored wires which have been cut and you just need to hook them back together again. They will most likely be behind eihter the driver's or passengers kick panel. if not there thatn possibley behind the glove box somewhere. I don't think I have ever done locks in a Daytona specifically but this is where they are for almost all vehichles. They should be a larger gauge wire (about 12ga.) Unless the alarm had been installed proffesionally, there should be some big butt conectors used so they should be easy to spot. It is OK to re attatch them with butt conectors as long as you use some good crimpers. Otherwise use solder and they will never come apart. I will be at work tommorow so I will try to get some wire colors for you as well, but hopefully this will help for now.
