Ive been around awhile and am just curious as to what would be easier for me to accomplish. I have an stock 86 t1 daytona that I would like to put a 89 common block 2.5 in. Would it be easier for me to update the car to 87 t2 status and get a custom cal, or would it be easier for me to update the car to smec status and then just get a standard cal to run the car? Thanks for your input!!

FAR FAR easier to update to '87 electronics and try to come up with a 2.5L cal on the '87 computer than it would be to adapt a SMEC harness into that car. I have a friend with an '87 Daytona that put the '88 harness into it. It was a nightmare, the bulkhead connector under the dash switched genders in '88.. So he had to cut, solder, and heatshrink every single wire.

Yes I've been around longer than fwdperformance, know they exist, and know how to tune a car. I was just seeing who is currently the best. I know Turbos Unleashed used to have someone working with them who was very good at what he did.

Well, The guys over at www dot *********** dot com are pretty good with the CAL stuff, I have a couple of them helping me with the whole burning and creating your own custom cal's.

It's pretty bad when the people here get mad and ******* out any mention of the competitions web pages especially when they are all free.

that website is www dot turbo dash mopar dot com
