Ok, i had a problem before that i just fix... i had to replace the HEP... Welll it fired right up as i was hopeing. but it wouldnt rev past 4500!!.. and now it stalled and wont start up again what gives??? did the hep i just put in died after 5 mins of running??? what could it be? could the coil be bad??? im getting pissed i just got this car off someone on this forum... i Cant have a non running car in my driveway the city will impound it... i need this fixed and im stumped.. anyone else have a problem like this? and what did you do to fix it?? im starting to think i spent 2500 for nothing..

i adjusted the timeing meny times... timeing shouldnt be a problem... now Cam timeing mite be since it does have adjustable cam gear but i wont touch that... timeing shouldnt kill the car. theres gotta be something else wrong. bad tps? bad ground? too much crack smoked??... ok i just took a vid of it. it did start up again thank god dunno why it died. im guessing the coils bad imma swap that out... but i made a video of what its doing... ill post it asap

iv leaned it out all the way and cranked it up no change at all... YouTube - 87 dodge daytona shelby z, wont rev past 4500 ok the embed vid didnt work but theres the link.

right now i have it between 35-40 psi with the vac line on. i have +40 injectors btw and a 255lph in the tank.

when i rev it it goes up. raiseing rate afpr. at idle it stays constant.

i havent checked yet... key on off on off on? ok it apears to be 12 then 55

Code 12 - Battery feed to computer

When monitored
- Ignition on
When placed in memory - If battery disconnected in last 30-100 engine starts.
... so i had the battery out. so no codes

ok i replaced the coil with a msd blaster from a mustang.. Same thing wont rev past 4500.. but on a good note it revs smoother and quicker lol... gonna check the plugs in the morning and see if thats where the problem lies. im crossing my fingers...

So, now it starts but won't rev in neutral past 4500rpm?

Yeah it wouldnt start with the old HEP so i replaced it and it fired right up.. but same thing as b4 it died it wont rev past 4500. i dunno what else i can replace besides the spark plugs... would a bad o2 cause this?
