What is the limit to a stock fuel pump? 88 T2

Is a stock pump sufficent enough to run with a super 60 computer, and injectors. Ive heard from friends that during testing of the kit back in the 90's that the stock pump delivered enough fuel, but about (correct me if im wrong)
15-20 minutes at wide open throttle it slowly leaned out. Also does stock aftermarket O.E pumps been proven to deliver more lph then stock O.E.M.

Trusting a stock 15 year old fuel pump cost me number 3 piston's rings running stock boost.

Buy a walbro fuel pump.
