i just got a new cal fom FWD. Cindy said it may take anywhere up to 200 miles for it to really get used to the settings and stuff. well its only boosting to about 4 or 5 psi and doesnt seem to want to go any higher. my question is, would it be bad to put the boost controller on it and set it for 14-15psi? if i did that, wouldnt it just get used to it running that and adjust itself accordingly instead of trying to find where its boost is supposed to be?

as far as wiring goes, besides the air charge temp sensor, what else is needed to go from T1 to T2 status?

do i need a 3 bar for 15 psi?

Sounds like your wastegate may be hooked directly to the manifold. Check to see if the actuator is working correctly and is not stuck open. While you could put a manual boost controller on your car, if everything is working correctly the cal should control the boost correctly.

Many people with cals still use a MBC to control boost(line from intake to actuator with MBC in between).

You need to have the vac lines going to the solenoid to use the cals boost control.

I would just run a new vac line for the wastegate and use a boost controller.
and by pass the stock boost selenoid

so should i let the comp reset and hook up the MBC then let the computer learn again and this time, it'll be like telling the computer.. "listen.. this is how much boost you're gonna run. figure it out." ??
