alright so today i was driving on the highway and everything was good and when i got to my buddies house i popped the hood to but wiper fluid in and saw there was a wire not fully connected so i put it back on and there were no problems, then we went to another buddies house and i turn it off and and when i started it, it started to run like a popcorn machine so we tired to see if the wire came off but it didn't. i need help on knowing what to check/replace. i am new to the 4 cylinder dodges since before all ive driven were jeeps. PLEASE HELP ME.

P.S. last week i did a tune up consisting of plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter valve cover gasket, and oil change. o and its a 2.5 5 speed daytona

Make sure the plug on the BOTTOM of the coil is on there tight and the wire insulation is good. I had one that had a cut in the insulation and it would short out and idle like a popper and die randomly. Also check all your grounds, especially by the driver side of the head towards the front of the car and on the back of the intake manifold passenger side.

alright well today i went outside and i looked at the coil and saw that there is no wire on the bottom of the coil. the coil has the wire goin from cap to the coil and 2 other wires left and right to that. i still have to check grounds, but i pulled out the plugs thewere all fouled out. im gettin new plugs but now im thinkin the valve guides need to be replaced.

Yeah fouled spark plugs can do that go with some Champion RYC12's they run great and are dirt cheap. Let us know how it turns out.

alright well the plugs were screwed...obvisouly... i pulled the valve cover and saw a rocker arm missin and it was complety off the valvetrain. so me and a buddie removed the timin belt and the bearing caps and put it back on to see if that would help but the rocker came right off.. i guess now it means either fix it or turbo it... if anyone has a n/a 2.5 head for sale let me know for tell me where to look...thanks...
