First things first ... I'm looking to add a Silver faced trip Navigator to my Dodge 600es Convertible. The navigator is what you'd find in a G-Body (Daytona) up above the factory boost gauge; it calculates ETA, Fuel Econ, Date, Time, all that Jazz.
So ...
'86 FSM Wiring Diagrams Book:
Looking through my '86 FSM, it shows the 86 600es Convertible as a "K-Car" "V-Series" "27-Style", correct? (Page 4 introduction)
Next if I hop to page 8B-42 Wiring Components and Electrical. It shows the "K Body" Dash wiring for C, V, L Series, 22, 27, 41. 45 Styles.
If you look right in the middle of that picture, it shows the connectors for the Navigator; the connection plug and the ground wire plug.
Question 1: Am I correct in my reading of the book so far?
If so, how accurate have you found the FSM wiring diags to be? With mid-model year changes or no?
Now supposing I can't find the actual plugs on my car, i.e. it's an odd ball one that got the wrong wiring harness or something crazy like that, could I use the pinouts and just run the wires to the proper locations?
Navigator plug: (pg 8E-99 G/C,V Wiring diags-elec)

So would I be correct in running the following wires:
Navigator Pin 3 straight to constant 12v battery
Navigator Pin 4 to 50-pin bulkhead (Pg 8A-5) pin 42
Navigator Pin 5 to (somewhere on the headlamp switch or radio dimming input?)
Navigator Pin 6 to 50-pin bulkhead (Pg 8A-5) pin 44
Navigator Pin 9 to (anywhere of the firewall, chassis ground?)
Navigator Pin 10 to (somewhere on the h/l switch or radio Ill input?)
Navigator Pin 11 to (Fuel gauge sending unit?)
Navigator Pin 12 to 12v switched ignition - i.e. back of radio
Any help or insight would be appreciated!
I'm really hoping the plugs are just in there somewhere all tucked away out of harm's reach, but if not I'll be a running wires
Thanks in advance
