How many A/F Lights?

Got my A/F meter up and running (I think).

I can shoot starter fluid into the TB and get 10 lights, but when I floor it, I have seen 10 only once. Most of the time I get 9.

This is on a '89 T2 car, only mods are a 180 thermostat and a home ported exhuast manifold. Am I running out of fuel? The T2 cars can't run that close to the edge stock, can they?

I have replaced the pump and filter, last summer. Just got done fixing a bad injector, but they are over 165,000 miles, so they might be worn out.

Guess the next step is to check the pressure at the rail.
