Got my A/F meter up and running (I think).

I can shoot starter fluid into the TB and get 10 lights, but when I floor it, I have seen 10 only once. Most of the time I get 9.

This is on a '89 T2 car, only mods are a 180 thermostat and a home ported exhaust manifold. Am I running out of fuel? The T2 cars can't run that close to the edge stock, can they?

I have replaced the pump and filter, last summer. Just got done fixing a bad injector, but they are over 165,000 miles, so they might be worn out.

Guess the next step is to check the pressure at the rail.

Any input?

Thanks.

You should be perfectly fine on 9 lights, if you want to be super safe you could turn up the fuel pressure to get 10, but you might lose a little power due to it being too rich. I run my daytona at 9 and have never had a problem, But if you lose that 9th light at wot, you've got about 2 seconds to get out of it before you are the proud owner of a mopar cast aluminum ashtray.
