i have a stock 86 Daytona T1. i just installed a O2 gauge and it dosent seem to be working correctly. i have it grounded to the engine as it should be.
at idle and wile normal driving it crosses over from ideal to lean and back and fourth as i understand it should, when i go to WOT it seems do allways go verry lean. could a bad TPS cause this? i have a code 24 and my limmited power light is on. i almost have all the parts and i plan on converting it to a T2 with GLHS electronics. but i want to make sure my 02 gauge is working correctly before. any input would help

dont trust a narrowband gauge... they're useless.

try reading the plugs to see where afrs are at whatever load points or get a wideband

O2 gauge should be soldered and grounded to the battery. Fix the TPS for sure! After you get it running right get a wideband O2 setup. The Narrowband O2 gauges/sensors are just to keep the catalytic converter happy. They're NOT to be used to make sure you're safe at WOT. The LC-1 from Innovate will give you that accuracy and has a Narrowband output you can feed to the ECU and eliminate the factory O2 completely.
