Turbo Timers?

Alright, i know that i am supposed to leave the car running for a few minutes after i drive it so that it can cool down a wee bit.

I also know that it pissed me off to have to sit in my car for 3 minutes while it cools down before i shut it off.

Now, a lot of my friends with turboed Japanese/European cars seem to like these widgets called 'Turbo-Timers'. They leave your car running after you shut it off for a few minutes so you don't have to wait around in the car. This seems neat! Does anyone else use one? What is a good model, and are they difficult to install in a TD?

Thanks!

I have an older Apexi Turbo Timer. I like it. Real easy to install. Only 3 wires. Some of the new timers like Apexi and HKS have some neat features like air/fuel readout, voltage readout and built in G tech...

i have an HKS Type-0 timer. took awhile to install cuz of the lack of a harness conector, but it works like a charm. has a 'wow' factor too.

i'm pretty positive it's an ignition wire, but i've never hooked one up, just using common sense

the timer has a wire that taps the ignition wire. it keeps sending a signal to the wire that keeps the car running (only if the parking brake is enabled though). and when the timer hits 0, it no longer sends a signal, thus shutting the car off.

Sweet. I just might have to invest in one of these things. Sounds like a good idea!
