90 daytona es 2.5 turbo

Got the '89 and older walbro 255 from TU.

Everything seemed okay with the install, until I tried to fit the plastic bracket over the pump and snap it to its carrier. The bracket has a small polygon shaped hole that is too small to fit over the pump.

I called chris @ TU and he said to dremel it bigger. I did, and it fits over, and I had to dremel slots that were higher up for it to snap into. But it just seemed like it would pop off, so I left it off.

Anyone else deal with this?

Leave everything but the hole alone. You kinda have to make a shoulder around the hole.

Had the same issue, I used a long zip tie to secure it and had no issues. I know some people that just left it off with no issues. They felt that it fit tight enough there would be no issues, so far they have not had any.
