I took the pump assembly out of the tank and it didn't give me much trouble. Now I'm trying to put the assembly back in with the new pump and I can't get the d@mn thing straight!! Whoever designed such a large arm for such a small tank didn't have there head on straight.

Any suggestions????

Is the tank on or off the car? I did it with the tank off, and it was cake. you just have to rotate the hangar assembly while you put it in. Make sure the pump sock ends up in the right orientation.

my sock kept getting pulled off as i manoeuvered the sender into place-i think the baffles were pulling it off, so i fished it back out, and secured it to the pump very well with 2 heavy duty Zip ties before inserting it again..all went well.

Why didn't you use your hands? Although, it probably would've been easier if you had shoes on! ...............

The tank is still on the car. I was hoping to avoid extra work. I may end up taking it off anyway. Is removal of the tank complicated?

drive it till the tank is 1/4 or less, then just jack up the pass. side of the car..that's what i did....all the gas goes to the opposite side= no spillage.
