i can get a ACCEL COIL for my car. ITS HUGE!!! universal i believe... would this work for my shadow??

do you think the bigger the coil the beter? i guess the thicker the spark plug wires the more horse power they will add?

rethink your entusiasim.

The stock coil is more than adequate.

Besides those Accel coils are huge and impossible to mount close enough to the distributor cap.

If that is the big square looking coil a little warning on use. I had one in my CSX, for some reason it spiked my stock computer. It burnt my circuit board, AIS motor, and speed sensor. Cost me little over $200 to fix. My .02 cents worth.

This is totally true. The stock ignition system is good to over 300hp. Just a good quality set of wires (such as Magnacore) is the best thing you can do.

I don't think you can shorten the wire per se... But I do know that when you buy a set of Accel universal wires, you cut to fit. But alas, I haven't found a set for our cars. Also, in some brands of exact fit wires, it comes /w/ 2 coil wires. One is shorter than the other. I have had this happen on quite a few occasions when getting a set from Autozone.

yeah its a pretty HUGE round Yellow ACCEL coil.. bro said it would work on mine.. but after u guys telling me the stock is good till 300... ill save my money n put it to some better use.. HOW CAN I SHORTEN MY COIL WIRE!?! i wanna put my coil closer to the cap to shorten the wire.. does this make a lil better spark?? plus how do i shorten this wire??
