Finally finished my rebuild. Try to start it up...it wont. So straight to this fine venue I go. Thanks to all that have had "no spark no fuel" issues. I dont feel so lonely. So, new coil, battery, asd, and aftermarket HEP. Ya, I know, but I needed it now. If I disconnect/reconnect the battery, fuel pump will come on with the key like it should. But only once or twice. Still no spark.Thought it might be engine grounds, so I put 8ga. from PS motor mount to wheel well and head to firewall. Tried grounding the diagnostic plug. Pump runs all looks right. What the hell am I missing here? Im sure its something small, but damn. Just out of curiousity, can you test a HEP to see if its good?

By the way, my very few posts are a result of a lot of reading. I serious thanks to everyone that shares their hard learned info.

If you grounded the DB/YL in the diag connector and the fuel pump was running ASD circuit is not the problem.
By the way, did you also check for power at the + coil and DG/BK wire at the injector harness while the wire was grounded?
The ASD will not be actuated until the controller sees a crank signal from the HEP.
Need to know what we are working on to help with the HEP circuit.

sorry about the lack of info. 88 csxt 2.2. The coil voltage checked out fine. I will check the injector harness. I pulled the inj. harness and found some frayed and cracked wires. one of them, g/bl i think, its the one that is common to all the inj., broke off where they all come together. Please tell me I can solder these.

thanks, Ron
