Its got an engine and trans and complete wiring from an 89 daytona shelby runnin a stage 5 cal and big exhaust big front mount cooler, super 60 turbo, The problem is wierd I will floor the car and boost will rise to 20 psi and pull hard for a few seconds and then all of a sudden you hear a poof like an intercooler hose leaking and boost drops to 10-12 psi.

I have been chasing this problem for a few days now and so far I have taken out the bov, checked and double checked vac lines and inter cooler piping(took completely apart and inspected everything and put back together) afr is fat at 11.0, egt never goes over 1450 timing is backed down to 11 degrees btdc

Any ideas what could cause this ?

Is it grainger'd? When boost drops does it sound like a steady leak or just pop and drops no more sound?

I'd trouble shoot the WG actuator can and the bleed valve.
