Alright, ive been driving my car for a long time, basically ignoring my a/f gauge cuz i assumed it was reading about 1 bar lean all the time. which seemed pretty accurate, ive done complete TII conversion on my car(yes including injectors and LM and all that stuff) and was only running 12psi and i still get LEAN at WOT.

Problems i know its Not.
Fuel pump, replaced about a year ago along with fuel filter.
I just redid all my wiring for my O2 sensor and gauge(grouding everythign to the batt and using solder to interconnect everything) and still no better.

K, common problems outta the way. Ive noticed no problems in actually running the car. after about 4 months of ignorign the gauge like this i figured better check some things out. plugs looked good, and the compression checked out(120 across the board). so i think i might be alright, but still! this is disconcerting!

could i have bad injectors that just dont flow right, could it be my FPR?

just looking for thoughts/ideas

How lean is it at WOT? What kind of A/F gauge are you using? Where are you running the ground for the A/F gauge?

To be sure it's not the A/F gauge, get a digital volt meter & tap into the O2 sensor & check the readings there. It should read in the .90's under wot.

Digital volt meter

.92+ = safe
.90 = good
.85 = lean

What o2 sensor are you running? I never could get more than 8 lights with the cheapo bosch one. When I replaced it with a Mopar one without doing anything else I started getting 9 everytime.

When i was doing my TII conversion i went with a new 4 wire one from mopar. figured that was the best choice.

did some further testing this afternoon to see what could be the problem. got a bottle of propane and let that sucker blow(unlit course heh) into my tb while the car was idling. all that did was let my car idle a little higher and get my a/f to 8 bars.

So i tried somethign a little more direct. soem intake spray i found, sprayed that in there and the car started almost stalling, kept at that for a while and my a/f would blink 9 bars but not stay pegged there.

this is a 4 wire sensor remmber, so its either the sensor(which is new) is toast, or the gauge(which isnt exactly old) is toast. Thoughts?

Mine only reads 8 lights also. Sometimes it will blink nine but never ten. I thought it was my o2 sensor so i replaced that. Still the same. Maybe this weekend I will try the multimeter.

I have the same guage and had the same problem. 8 lights max. when it was grounded under the dash. Moved ground to intake bolt and got 9 lights.

Even the stock Mopar unit leaves alot to be desired when it comes to accurate info from a O2. Using a voltmeter to check your A/F gauge is a great idea and would have been my suggestion as well. Experimenting with different ground placement is a good idea also.

Do you have a good quality EGT gauge? This isn't something you would have to sink a ton of money into. It will allow to compare the two (a/f vs. egt) to come to a better conclusion about your fuel requirements. You can get a nice digital EGT for about $85.00 not including choice of probe.
