After the car has been running for 10 minutes or so the cutout comes back. Sometimes it works and sometimes it cuts out. Bad zener? I can let the car sit for 30 minutes and it runs 14psi, then drive it around for a while then the cutout comes back. Oh yeah its the 84 on my sig.

The zener voltage could be right on the edge of cutout, and when it gets "warm" it goes beyond.

So should I replace it? I have a 4.3 .5volt and it is a pain to get to.

I'd try another one to see if it cures the problem.

Sounds like you're on the hairy edge. It could also be that other thing like your computer or your map sensor is what is warming up and not the zener. A different zener maight solve the problem anyway it you happen to get one that's just a slight bit lower in voltage.
