Just got a set of DSM injectors tonight, but I am confused as to how the bottom o-ring stays on the injector?? There is no O-ring groove on the injector, do I just slip an o-ring on it and press it into the intake mani?? I understand there are a few people here using them on there TD cars.

Thanks

well on the DSM intake manifolds it has a ppcket that the o-ring sits into, more like a plug.
Now on your manifold that wont work but when you look into the injector bung/hole is there a lip by chance? if so then Youll be ok with just sliding a oring onto the injector then sliding the injector into the hole
BUT if no lip (lip is there so the o-ring wont slide into the manifold/head) then I would wait til someone chimes in that has done it

I believe there IS a lip, I will have to look at my extra manifold I have. Although I just noticed the black plastic tip of the injector is cracked and now I either have to see if Ican replace this or the injector might be garbage. Nothing is easy

Yes thats what it is, I just did a quick search on Ebay and found all kinds, I just need to figure out which one I need lol. Thanks for the help, looks like I should be alright. The only reason I went this route was because I got the set for $35. Good deal compared to the +20s.

There's no lip on the intake manifold, but the o-ring kind of wedges in pretty tight, and doesn't leak. I ran them in my csx-t for a while, with no sealing problems. Just be carefull when you remove them again though because sometimes the o-ring stays in the manifold and you have to grab a pick and pull it out. To get them in the rail was a pain though. I wrapped the tops in electrical tape and cut the top of the wrapped tape off to give the o-ring something to press against when you push them in the rail, otherwise the rings slip down the top of the injector..very annoying. Also, I had a starting problem sometimes. It would flood, and you'd have to wait a while then start it and floor it until it cleared out the cylinders. In case you don't know, if you have the 450 blue tops, they're the equivilant of 48lb injectors. Good luck.
