When you set base fuel pressure (I'm using a RRR if it make a difference) I'm assuming that you set it with the vacuum line off the regulator, but I have read many people with the RRR run around 30 psi , so since I live at 4600ft altitude and pull about 12-13 psi vacumm that means at idle it will be at 17 psi? Seems awful low to me. Should I be setting the base pressure with the vacuum line hooked up?

I think I answered my own stupid question. I'm going to set it at about 33 static and go from there figure it'll be too rich but better then too lean! then I can just put more boost into it. Someone please stop me if I'm doing something stupid!!

No, do this. set it at 33 psi and check the fp both static and with the vacuum line connected. The lower the fuel pressure, the less it will pull off the pressure connected. 55 base pulls 9-12 lbs of pressure. 30 pulls 6-8 lbs.

I ran at 30 psi static and had 24 connected. Where you set it will depend on the overall set-up... A bigger turbo (t3/4) will spool slower with too much base, a stock style turbo will spool fine a little rich.

Better a little rich than lean.. this is where endless test drives comes into play
