I finally found a '90 Omni SBEC TBI underhood wiring harness. I'm going to convert the harness for 2.5 T1 use on my Omni GLH, using a donor '90 turbo SBEC harness.

Has anybody else wired their L-body for SBEC? Does having sequential fuel injection really make the engine run any smoother? Will it make it easier to pass emissions? I guess I just want to brag about having the only sequentially fuel injected turbocharged Omni

You won't be the only one for long. I am going to wire my SC for use with a SBEC from a Daytona if I can't find something better like yours. I haven't looked around that hard yet, but have a Daytona wiring harness already. It is sure to be a lot of work with the Daytona harness. The L-body configuration would be much easier.
I do have a question. They made L-body's in 1990? If so that will be the way I go since all I will have to do is add on and delete vs. redo everything. It will still be a ton of work either way. Good Luck. Pat

Yup 1990 was the last year for the Omni L body.

1987 was the last year for the Charger L body.

According to my wiring diagrams, '90 SBEC has four injector drivers...

that too

there was no Mutli port fuel injected N/A 2.2 or 2.5...

unless you got a shadow like i picked up, was a turbo car, the guy put a TBI manifold on it and never put the turbo on it. so it had a MPI and no turbo, and the car ran fine! i promply crushed it, i only wanted the seats and the car was all rotted out.

If you guys read above, you would have noticed that I'm converting the '90 Omni TBI SBEC harness to turbo MPFI SBEC harness. The TBI SBEC has one driver, the turbo SBEC has four.

That is correct!

You know what you get when you install a turbo cal on a TBI board? A car that fires on one cylinder! lol.

Well I think it goes without saying that I'd use a 2.5 T1 SBEC with the converted harness!

My plan is to cut out the connectors and wiring (overlays) related to MPFI/turbo and integrate them into the TBI SBEC harness. The fuel rail connector and other sensors will be grafted in. I'll hopefully end up with a harness similar to the Super 60 harness, but it will be SBEC, sequential fuel injected, and have a 4-wire O2 sensor.

It has been 8 months has anyone else done the swap? I bought a SBEC tbi omni harness from Todd Mefferd and plan to do this sometime in the future. If someone is looking for a good harness I think Russ Jerome might have one. I was going to buy his but couldn't wait, or so I thought.
