Fuel pump interchange?

I just picked up a free '86 Lancer turbo. The old owner said it had tranny problems but it ran. Well, the fuel pump is shot, and therefore doesn't run. Is there any other model Dodge fuel pump that intercanges with a Lancer turbo so I can go search the local yards? I don't want to buy a new pump if the tranny has major issues and isn't worth fixing.

I believe for the most part that the in-tank fuel pumps were the same for the '86 and up turbo cars.

One main reason I ask is because www.car-part.com lists 3.0V6 pumps in the search for 2.2 turbo. Would a 3.0 pump work?

Yep. Later 3.0 V6's and 2.2/2.5 turbo's used the same pumps.
