Hey all this is actually a problem that has been happneing for a while, but i think i finally narrowed down the cause. When i take my car for a long run ie: high speed's it started to hesitate and lose some power and an audible popping noise was occasionally heard. couldnt figure it out until i started to notice that my a/f reading was dropping a bar as i starting getting up in the speed. boost stayed steady at 13psi but i started leaning out. it only does it at high speeds not high rpm. 1st and 2nd gear is fine(auto tranny)

What im wondering is what could be the cause of this leaning out at a lower then cutout boost level. should i looke into a afpr or larger injectors as the stock T2 ones ive installed dont seem to be cutting it, or could it be fuel pump related? Im still not absolutely sure this is the problem, but you can feel the drop in power as the car starts to run leaner. its a big pain, so any help would be great. thanks all.

Did you replace your fuel filter? sometimes when I run hard for a long time it starts to lean out, i think it's my filter, I'm changing it tomorrow.

well the fuel filter is only a couple years old. not sure how long they last though, it is possible of course, but doesnt seem likely same with the pump, they were changed at the same time.

On my car, the stock water temp gauge is broken, so I put an aftermarket one in, Sometimes when the stock gauge indicates overheating (~190 on my real gauge) is when I start to lean. I think this might be part of the problem on my car. Good luck!

well ive put maybe 8000 miles on the c ar since that fuel filter was changed, but its almost all city driving. I guess it might not be a bad idea to change it anyways, just to be on the safe side
