Ok, I am confused.

Everything I have read says a OEM computer needs a 4.3v and an MP computer needs the 4.7v one. I installed a 4.3v doide in my '89 LBaron T2 and had to dial the boost back as I lost a light.

Seems a 4.3v diode gives the computer the impression that boost is maxed out at 10 psi, and so it doesn't feed in the full amount of fuel.

Gary's site has a chart that says 4.65v for an '87 T2 car, so would a 4.65v one work better? Either way, I want the computer to read boost close to cutout, but better than 10 psi.

Please tell me, will a 4.7 work with my stock computer? I was goint to start with a 4.65 and work my way down, but if somebody else is running a 4.7 successfully, that is where I will start.

Thanks.

All the diodes have tolerances... You might need 2-3 to get one that is right. But at $1 a piece... shouldn't be a problem... yes I used to run the 4.7

I run a 4.7 on my 89 2.5 T1 computer with success, and so does a fellow td guy with a 91 Daytona Shelby, both on stock computers.

Looks like I too will be looking for a 4.7v diode in the near future.

Thanks.
