Now, I plan on running 2.5L on my '88 Daytona electronics, I know that the 2.5L will run a little lean with the 2.2TII comp thats in the car (I could probably fix it with a 5th injector, but...).

Just curious if I could possibly drop an '89 2.5L TI SMEC into the car with the original harness, or if it would be less of a hassel (and more expensive) to buy a 2.5L cal for '88 electronics.

Any imput would be good!

Yes it will work. Use the 2.5L SMEC computer. '88 and '89 electronics are interchangeable for the most part. However, the '89 2.5 SMEC does not have provision for the charge temp sensor. 2.5L engines never came with charge temp sensors.

I'm running this setup now, 16psi dual intercooled. Made a passenger scream today, quite happy with myself.

Thanks for the imput, I plan on using the same setup, but with around 18psi.

Sweet, I just hope I have enough money to cover all the parts that I'm going to buy at the yard tomorrow.:big grin: "thumbs up

I am also going to run the stock 2.5 TI/5spd 'puter in my GTS instead of the TII cal. Let us know how it goes!
