I was wondering what its for as well... i am using an 85 lebaron gts wiring harness and i dont believe it has connections for the sensor...

so with that in mind, does the calibrations out there use this sensor ?? its required?? and since i dont have the wiring in place (i dont THINK i do) what pins in the LM would i need to run it to ?

thx

It does, 1985 TI's came with CAS.

The CAS is the only way the computer knows how well the intercooler is working when the temp drops.

Cold air requires more fuel.

Where was the sensor located then ? In later vehicles its in the middle of the intake on the front isnt it.. ?

I have a few extra connections on my wiring harness (haha) but none that would reach towards middle of intake.. there are a coulpe over by the a/c lines/evaporator hookup.

You stated you had a 1985 harness, it's right in the middle of the intake manifold next to the knock sensor.
