Question Best Computer For My Car

I have a 1987 Sundance Turbo I, but I am planning on doing some upgrades over the next few months and I was hoping someone could direct me towards what computer to get for my application. My goal for the car will be around 15-18 psi of boost and am going to use my stock Garret turbo. The tranny is a manual 5-speed I am going to be driving the car every day, so it needs to remain very streetable and reliable. Any suggestions would help out. I have read some stuff on here about MP computers. Are those units still available from the dealer? I tried this post before, and didn't get any responses, so now I've included a little more info on my goal. Thanks

since you plan to swap to blo-thru setup, you should be looking for 87 T2 daytona logic modules, stock or MP. You can just control the boost manually (provided you make sure you have enough fuel). You will have to add a few wires to your existing wiring harness for the new style AIS and TPS, and chrage temp sensor.....you may have to move a map sensor under the hood as well if yours isn't already there.

What is the difference between the stock logic modules and the MP ones? If one is better then I will know what to look for, but I thought there were a few people that could reprogram them anyway. I could be wrong though, thought I read it somewhere.

It really depends on how far you want to go. If you plan on staying under 14-15psi, i would stick with stock logic modules. MP ones are not that great, and while they make mild power gains, they sacrifice some drivability.

If you are gonna go wilder with your setup, I would definitely go with a Relentless Racing calibration.

I was able to get a '89 T-II computer from a Shelby Z. What is involved inmaking this work with the T-I to T-II conversion I am planning?
