Well the only junkyard injectors that I know of are the Ford Turbo Coupe injectors, which are like 20+, they would be a direct replacement. Other than that...just buy 20+ or 40+ depending on your needs.
Peace.

The Turbo Coupe injectors are about the best injector put on a factory car that I know of. They are low impedance, 36lb/hr, and capable of 100% duty cycle (or so I hear). The turbos off the Manual Tranny TC's are a nice upgrade as well. Unfortunatly both are really easy to pull & are usually gone..... in my experience anyway.

****, the parts yards around here are picked over pretty well so finding parts like turbos and injectors is pretty tough. Then again, I pulled 7 G-heads in the last week so I can't complain too much.:big grin:

... if anyone wants to sell me a couple sets of the TC injectors, let me know. "thumbs up

you know there are a couple of different flow ratings and different injectors for different ford turbos. make sure you know when model numbers you are looking for..

<----frosts friend w/ the injectors

we tested the brown tops and some 37lb CFI injectors ... neither will work because the injectors are all to short for the stock dodge fuel rail. so the fuel rail does not push all the way down on the top of the injector to make a seal ... leaving a good 1/8 of an inch for fuel to leak out around the orings. and to move the injector up and down.

SO much for that idea .... to bad it didnt' work because i have a shlt load of 46lb injectors(and 35lb brown tops and 37lb CFI) just sitting here that i'm selling to the tbricks guys ...

so well .. is there any way we can cut down the fuel rail a bit? i mean if we can make the part/spacer for where the bolts go a little shorter it would push the injector all the way down sealing it for good ...

other wise do ya guys know of any other cars that use injectors that tall? because those dodge injectors bodys are shorter than the ones we have AND the seal is higher up on them so. are they the same as DSM injectors?

oh and turbo 4's rock ...

oh and on a side note that title works for me since my car does have a mistu turbo(and its gonna have a 19T as soon as i can save up $450)

the hog: let me know if u still want some TC injectors i have 4 sets here now and have sold over 13 in the last 2 months so(tho y go w/ the brown tops when u can have 46lb(@33psi fuel pressure) injectors for $10 more haha)

that's is what is needed to make them fit my fuel rail

and here's another pic of some 37lb injectors(@40psi fuel pressure so like 42lb on the TD rail)

they look the same as the 46lb

and they will not fit in the Turbo dodge rail even setup as i have them in my car since the dodge injectors are taller ... BUT tomorrow or sometime in the next week frost is droping his (old)intake and fuel rail off to me so that i can do what i must to it to make them fit ... once we figure out how we can buy junkyard fuel rails and adjust those so it can hold the 46lb injectors and then sell them to you guys. tho if they will fit in your rail i don't know depends on how tall u'r stock injectors are .. i think i saw a dodge like u'rs in the yard i might be able to test fit them in

so far us volvo guys are having fun w/ them. they ar 60% bigger than our stock injectors .. and on us guys w/ Lh 2.4(like me) they will drop right in and drive, idle and everything like they came stock .. very few probs @ all .. except that @ 1.3+ bar boost they are still to much fuel and will bring boost back since too much fuel gets splashed into the exhaust and slows/cools down the turbine. so turning up the boost helps burn it off and make it run(or u could tune it but whatever we are working on a tuning box for our AMM)

so yea .. volvo's own because u can drop in 60% injectors and just go .. no mods @ all and it drives and idles fine

oh and here's the newest pic of all the injectors i have

hey ************,

My stock injectors are 19lb/hr, The injectors that I'm using now are actually taken from an older turbo dodge, a 2.2L turbo I believe, non sure of year but I do know that they are 34 or 36 lb/hr. I can get the model # if need be. They look identical to the injector on the RIGHT side of this photo they have the same wire harness connector, same width, same fuel rail and bung connector. If you have those in 42 or 26 I would be extremely interested.

I would prefer high impedance with pintle style tips to work with the stock injctor drivers, but I could do low impedance since I have adapted drivers to work with these 36lb/hr ones. The height in no problem either since I had to raise the rails as it is and I still have plenty of room.

What kind of price are we talkin here?

cost is $50 for 4 of them ... + shipping so like $57 total. not bad that injectors that large

and they are low impedance injectors so... 46lb/hr @ 33psi so depending on what base pressure you are runnning i can tell you what you will need to get 42. ... if you are runnning 55psi fuel pressure then the brown tops would be perfect because that would make them flow about 42lb so ... the CFI's(46lb) flow 53lb @ 3bar so ...

and i DO happen to have one set of the CFI's that will take the pintle caps so ... tho i know of 4 other volvo guys running these injectors from me and none of us use the caps(they are pointless... all they do is protect the tip and if something is going to break that tip chances are its gonna wreck u'r motor or already busted u'r turbine).

so yea up to you but let me know ...

OH and for all the other dodge guys ... i'm pretty sure that these brown tops(will flow 42lb on a stock dodge rail) will fit in your cars w/o any probs ... i'm gonna do one more test fit this sat on frosts car so we'll see

Well the fuel pump I'm running now is actually taken from a viper, just the motor itself. I had a shop fit the pump into my stock pump housing and it works great. I couldn't give you fuel pressure numbers, but I can tell you that I have a return-less fuel system meaning that I have a pressure regulator built into the pump housing.

I *think* the dude at the shop said the regulator allows 66PSI. But that all I know. It doens't really matter anyways, my fuel maps are programmable through the laptop. Since I'm going to step up to a much larger injector size, I will need to re-dyno tune this thing. So I'll just have to find out when I hit the dyno.
