I used the AIS connector out of a 91 V6 Acclaim for my AIS in my 87 2.2 T1 conversion. I plugged it into the AIS - matched the wires on the AIS connector to the two wires that were left underhood and then ran the other two wires.

heres my question. just did my T2 conversion on my glh w/ an 87 LM. did the wiring swaps just like mentioned here and added the extra ones. my car ran fine for 15 minutes then started to idle bad. Ive been through numerous test on my car. one code I got was speed distance sensor but noticed that on my 87LM I didnt have a wire going to that. my 86 doesnt have a speed distance sensor that I saw. is that another wire I got to add?

To run a 3bar map, you need a 3bar calibrated LM from one of the TD vendors.

As for installation, I installed mine near the LM in the pass. kick panel using the existing vacuum line & wired it up to the LM as per '87 pin outs. There's also a few other changes to make when converting to an '87 LM.

Are the '88 electronics different than the '87. I have a TI in an '86 LeBaron T&C wagon and I have a complete '88 Daytona with the TII motor. Can I make this swap using these parts? Have had the Dayotna for awhile and am still a newbie when it comes to these TD'S.

Hi,

I believe those two are reversed, Pin 19 Blue is MAP signal IN not ground (Pin 25 Red).

Anyway for me when I reversed those two my 87 conversion worked.

i'm pretty sure. there needs to be a specific year thing that someone needs to write to knock out all the confusion. i have swapped 1 1/2 l bodies to t2 status using glhs style wiring. all i did was add the 2 ais wires and it ran. both of them i used 88 t1 intakes and throttle bodies. also on a side note the throttle cable needs to be changed. i bought one like a year ago that was the correct one but cannot remember the part number for the life of me. when i find it again i will post it. hell i'll do the write up.
