My 89 Shelby isnt running right. It idles ok. On the road it runs good if you are just breathing on it 1/4 throttle. but as soon as you try to pick it up a little it looses all power. I just put in a new fuel pump and filter. Thought it was a plugged cat, but now I am not sure. Vaccum looks ok and I dont show any codes. I am leaning toward the FPR now. Are the stock FPRs known to go bad? Please give me some ideas.

Sometimes they do go bad. Is the vacuum line going into it okay. You'd have to hook up a fuel pressure tester and do some more tests.

If the problem is sensor related or ignition wouldnt it show a code. could it be injectors? It is almost like it looses fuel.
