ok i was going to put a cd player in, i got the wiring harness and everything, hooked it up and i get power but no sound! everything is hooked up right tho,

and also the rear stock speakers.... does the metal of the speaker ground to the car or something? cuz when i move it off the car is sparks and i get no sound..... but when it touches the metal it works fine. another thing,,,, the rear stock speakers. are they dual voice coil? it has 4 wires!! lol

and what are the black metal peices around the speakers?with like 5 wires! lol . like the fronts had them around them too.

can anyone help me on installing an aftermarket cd player and speakers? i've done soooooo many cars before but this car is confuseing the **** out of me! lol

sorry about all the questions but i dont want this good cd player to sit in my garage all winter cuz i cant get it to work, so if someone can help me that would be great! thanks

you are using a speaker as a ground verify all the wires i gave you are correct disconnect all power from the radio and with the wires listed above take a + & - wire example d.green + and green yellow - and touch a 9v battery to them you will get a humm in that speaker mark it and move on to the rest. you will need a voltmeter to find your power wires you will have 12v ign. 12v constant 12v illum. only when lights are on find this wire first and tape it off you don't need it

You probably have the Infinity II type speakers, with separate amps mounted to each speaker.

If there are 4 wires at the speaker then they are infinity. Just hook up the amp turn on wire at the harness (I can't remember the wire color in the vehichle but it might be green/red. It will be the one left over after you test all the thing that 1mean88z told you to test. With an infinity system the speakers won't pop with a battery). It will be the blue wire on the adapter harness you bought and the blue/white wire on your deck or the blue one if there is no blue/white. If you are installing after market speakers use the black wire as negative and the green wire as positive in the 4 wire plug at the speaker. They should be the 2 center ones.

It's ok to use the amps. They will accept a high level input (speaker level voltage) without distorting. Just wire them like I said above.
